Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this towed vehicle battery charge line kit for your Demco Air Force One and Stay-IN-Play DUO braking system. Now, if you're flat towing a vehicle behind your RV, one of the biggest concerns is making sure that your towed vehicle's battery doesn't drain while you're going down the road. That's exactly what this battery charge wire kit is designed to prevent. Now, this features a built-in LED indicator. So, instead of wondering whether your charging system is actually working, the LED is going to light up whenever a complete electrical circuit is established between the motorhome and the towed vehicle.
So, it's gonna give you an instant visual confirmation that the battery is receiving a charge while you're towing. That simple feature is going to take away a lot of guesswork. Without it, you might not realize there's a connection issue until your towed vehicle's battery is dead at your destination. So, with that LED, you're going to be able to quickly verify everything is connected and functioning before you hit the road. This also includes diode protection, which is going to prevent electrical current from flowing backwards into your vehicle's electrical system.
And then the integrated fuse protection to help protect the wiring and electrical components from damage. And this includes a 10-amp fuse, as you can hopefully see there. So, those built-in safeguards are gonna make this a more complete solution than just a basic charge wire installation. Overall, this battery charge wire kit is going to provide a direct charging connection from your RV to your tow vehicle's battery while you're traveling. So, its job is going to be to keep your battery charge in your vehicle.
Again, that's gonna help reduce the risk of battery drain with the added LED indicator, which is a great feature. And it's gonna be a whole lot easier for you to confirm that your charging system is working as intended while you're traveling. I am on my second charge wire. An important component of this kit is the diode which doesn't allow towed vehicle power to the plug. it only allows towing vehicle power to go to the towed vehicle. I believe the first charge kit I had the diode failed as my charge wire was making my center pin on the six pin hot when not connected to the towing vehicle. I was also not getting a charge to the towed vehicle.The new charge line kit I installed when not connected to the towing vehicle is not hot at the center pin. The new charge wire I believe will solve my lack of charging issue.Thanks! I gave a 4 because of the failure of my original charge wire.
After speaking with representative at etrailer and explaining what was happening she advised I needed a charge line kit and made sure I ordered the correct one for my set up The product arrived 3 days later which was 1 day earlier than expected
This is one of the simpler versions available for the function and installed easily. It does not have an indicator LED that shows it is working and has a fuse instead of a circuit breaker. Other versions with those features have more connections and boxes to install so I kept it simple. I installed a fuse that lights up when blown so at least it is easy to check on that.

Install was simple and straightforward. I like that you don’t have to cut and crimp ends. I think there could be a lil more wire to give you more routing options. Overall would highly recommend. Fast shipping. Everything needed was in the kit.

Most simple and easiest to install charge line kit
Appears to be good quality but upon installation found that the wire was too short to route it safely. Added about 3 feet of wire and all is good

Pic #6028 finished install , mounted the operating unit to the top fuse box cover using automotive Velcro . Air cylinder , controller and LED light installed . Aside from the base plate bracket not lining up with the upper bolt holes I would give it 4 stars . My son in law is a master at solving mechanical issues .

Easy install on Jeep gladiator, 1 hour, but I'm very picky on installation. No more dead battery on arrival after 8 hour run. Tow with diesel pusher.
My five-star is for E-Trailer, not Demco. What I think is, why didn't my Brand new installation of the DEMCO Stay-In-Play Duo not include this item. I had a dead battery on my toad after my first tow. DEMCO, please include this as part of the braking system package installation. It caused me money and the stress of a car that would not start. Anyone getting the Demco Braking system, make sure you have the correct charge part for your car.
Keeps the battery charged 100% with the use of my brake buddy for my tow car.

After a year using solved my problem with my battery going dead using a breaking system. Worth every penny!
Good quality harness. I added a .50 led light prior to the diode so I would have a visual indicator to make sure power is available when RV is plugged in and running.

After a year the product continues to perform without issues. Have not experienced any charging issues while towing.
